« I want flatlands
I never cared about money and all its friends
I want flatlands
I want flatlands
I don’t want precious stones
I never cared about anything you’ve ever owned
I want flatlands
I want simplicity »

These words are in my mind since I first heard the beautiful song by Chelsea Wolfe*. Haunting in circle in my mind...
So we didn’t end up on flatlands but on the top of a mountain. A place where mysteries are still unfold. A place where you can find cup marks on stones, where you can follow a wall called Pagan, where you can find a spring that is said can help you recover from blindness.

And I took Jeanne to this place. It was the perfect landscape for the collection I named Le Monde Autre.
This collection is the first step I want to take towards simplicity and my own flatlands**...
Ellen (here) has such beautiful words to describe this lassitude.
I never want to stop learning.

So this is the first step, combining a vocabulary I already developed with the last Pagan Poetry collections: masks, moons, bones, feathers. I added leather to make new forms of jewellery, exploring the world of leather harness and torque. Always inspired by mythology, and dark poetic muses.

Jeanne told me exactly what to do, trees surrounding our bodies; some believe there is a strong quiet energy on this mountain. And as a matter of fact we felt at home; eating berries and resting on mossy rocks...

Thank you again Jeanne for these beautiful times together and for the countless poetic photos!

Here is a little preview of a few pieces, leather as dragon skin, 23 carat gold leaf, double layered black leather (click on each photo to see it in larger size)

* Chealsea Wolfe is going to release a new album in September and a concert in Paris in October, can’t wait!
** Simplicity of the mind, not giving a f anymore about the industry and its untold laws, and schedule, and tradeshows... recovering a sense of this lost world, simplicity, stop running, a tale about the body...
