Je profite de cet article pour vous parler d'un nouveau point de vente pour Pagan Poetry, les bijoux et notamment la collection hiver 2012/13 sont maintenant disponibles sur CARNET DE MODE
Pour l'occasion j'ai répondu à une interview:
1 – Describe your collection in 3 words, what is the essence of it?
Timeless, Ethnological and shamanic. The collection is heavily inspired by antique and native cultures, by their legends and their techniques.
2 - Describe your brand in one sentence?
Pagan Poetry develops its world around handcrafted and delicate body jewelry which has a strong evocative power.
3 – What woman do you have in mind when designing?
I am inspired by strong and free women, heroines and Muses, those who are around me also: Mitiarjuk Nappaaluk who wrote the novel Sanaaq, Salome, Doumidia, Björk, Mariee Sioux, Joanna Newsom, Ellen, Chrystèle, Adeline, Louise, Mathyld, Kris, ...
4 – What is the most powerful inspiration behind your brand identity?
I find endless inspirations in Inuit tales, history and techniques, and in the work of analog photographers.
5 - Can you explain the story of your brand?
The brand is born from the desire to work with my hands, to develop a universe around handcrafting objects, the desire to practice between fashion, art and artisanat. The brand has germinated in my head and as prototypes in 2009 and, after a year spent in a “business incubator”, Pagan Poetry was born March 18, 2011.
6 - Which is your favorite city and why this particular one?
Freiburg (in Germany)is my favorite city; this is the city I lived in as a child. It is a model in urban development and it is a beautiful eco-city, a city where children and differences are accepted.
7 - What kind of music inspires you most? (Link
I am very inspired by the music of Björk, Fever Ray, Joanna Newsom, Mariee Sioux, I need their melodies as much as their words.
Mariee Sioux :
« As you sleep outlined in white ghost
Like your soul had been rolling in sheep
Or had been wrapped up in birch bark
Like a gift for the end when it finally finds me »
8 – How do you plan and explain your collection? What are your projects?
The starting point of each collection is a tale and a woman, an heroine. Then I build a world of jewels around them.
The brand will evolve at its own pace. The next collection will combine body jewelry and more sculptural pieces in the development of a mysterious world immortalized by my favourite photographers.
9 - What convinced you to join Carnet de Mode?
The beautiful selection of designers with unique universes, especially Leon Rose Magma’s.
